A look into our daily life.

9 Month Update

Owen turned 9 months old on Thanksgiving day. He celebrated by eating turkey!

His cousin Brooke enjoyed helping herself to some of his food as well.

That week Owen experienced some firsts.
He went on his very first plane ride to Phoenix Arizona and did really well. He fussed for a couple minutes when we boarded the plane but once we took off he was very satisfied with his trip.

Owen also got to go to the zoo.

We had a blast during our 10 day adventure in Phoenix but even when the came home the adventure didn't stop. We got to grandma and grandpa Nelson as well.

We also have been practicing our new skills. Owen has recently become a pro at standing up and he stands up on everything.

He also decided he would try to open his Christmas presents early.

9 month summary

- first plane ride
- first trip to the zoo
- stand up on own
- loves to make clicking noises with his tongue
- very ticklish
- goes 7-10 hours at night without eating
- loves his fruits but selective with veggies
- will try any food at least once but if he doesn't like it will feed it to Shadow
-eats the christmas tree and wrapping paper

Halloween Update
(Things have been busy, can't believe I didn't post these until now.)

Everyone loved our Star Wars costumes. Mitchell was a Jedi and I was a Twi'lek Jedi. Owen was an Ewok and everyone liked him the best. Shadow was just a dragon but he was still cute waiting at the door in hopes to go trick or treating.

Month 8 is here and almost time for Halloween!!

This is probably one of the most eventful months so far.
Owen now has a mouth full of 7 teeth and one on the way. I used worry about shadow chewing up my chords and carpets but now Owen has taken that role.

Owen has finally started crawling as well. He has been so close and has been scooting backwards all over the place. I thought for sure that during our trip to Idaho he would learn to crawl. But Owen decided to hold off until we got back and until his daddy was home from work to show off his new skills. He really is his daddy's boy.

Now Owen is on the loose. He loves stealing Shadow's toys and he loves pushing buttons on the entertainment center. We have resorted to cages to protect both the boy and the house.

The house is decorated and ready for Halloween! I made this wreath out of Mitchell's mythology book.

Owen and I spent a week with his grandma and grandpa in Idaho.

We worked on the pump house in town.

Ate at my favorite restaurant.

Played with grandpa great.

And Aunt Mekala too!!!

We have also been preparing for the colder weather. I made Owen this new hat.

Owen is now in his 7th month. The other day in church I was looking at a mother and her newborn and I couldn't believe how huge Owen looked next to the little baby. I was having a hard time remembering him being that time.

Flash back comparison

Owens 7 month accomplishments:
5 teeth total
Eats all kinds of foods
Likes to feed himself
Sits up and plays all by himself
Can scoot backwards and in circles
Can scoot around on bum while sitting. (he somehow managed to scoot on his bum over toward the TV and started pushing the buttons on the xbox and trying to pull himself up to it. )

This month we went to Bear Lake and participated in the Bear Lake Brawl. Mitchell did the whole thing with my dad and brother and I did the running part of a relay. Owen had fun playing with his cousins. And he especially liked the swings.

Owen has been a big eater.

And he helps buy the food too.

We are getting our costumes ready for Halloween.

Owen and I have enjoyed using our new library card.

Shadow loves sharing his toys with owen and it drives me crazy.

I recently made this dress for my niece Emma.

And here is an update for Owen at 6 months because I somehow missed that post.
